With a great sadness , we are here to report the loss of the Dutch composer and sound programmer Paul van der Valk who passed away on August 12, 2021. He was famous for composing and programming music for the Imploder file packer series and also wrote the music for the game “Hybris” shoot’em up game 1991 one of the best games on this console , also he made the music for Poing game series . you can hear his tunes with this very respected tribute . he was  very talented musician and we all miss to his great tunes on Amiga . RIP

  1. I was a young boy when I enjoyed his creations, especially Hybris game sound track (with samples so C64-SID style). It’s very sad that is passed away so early. Thanks for everything and we hope you can stay at best in paradise.


  2. So sad to hear this. I still remember booting up Hybris back in 1989 and beeing knocked out by the music. So many groups ripped the music and used it their demos and intros back in the better days and thereby made the music unforgettable in so many ways. Thank you for making an impact on my life and adding great memories to my great childhood. Thoughts goes to his family/near and dear ones.
