Real name: Edgar Vigdal
Some very sad and very serious news for everyone following the development of Warblade Mk II and Deluxe Galaga Reborn. Unfortunately Edgar Vigdal passed away on the evening of the 1st April 2015 of cancer. I believe the death of his father and the toll that brought on him along with his lifelong illnesses had worn him down. We are all shocked and saddened by this news and my deepest warmest thoughts are with his family and friends. I will miss Edgar very much, he has been a big part of my life for many many years now through our long chats and late nights on Skype.
RIP my great friend. Keep on coding…
I used to play Warblade a lot with my brother. This is one of the game that made my childhood, and I am forever grateful to Edgar for making it. Rest in peace, you will be missed.
I unfortunatelly did not have the opportunity to work, talk or write with Edgar. I however am very fond of the games he and his friends / colleagues developed.
Without wanting to sound disrespectful, can someone tell me where I can still buy warblade MK II ?
I worked with him, this man is a genius. I loved his work, he helped me very much in difficult times in my life without knowing he did that. Thank you Edgar, i love you.
Never forgotten a great man and friend, always in my mind and heart. Loved working with Edgar and Simon on Warblade MKII and other projects.
I had the priviledge of talking to Edgar on the phone and it seems like it was just a little over a year ago. I greatly enjoyed asking him questions, first about Pac Man, and then an unexpected find about him inventing the very first arcade video game, Pong. Dude was a fascinating mega-intellectual and it was lots of fun talking to him about this, that, ‘n the other thing. He was really cool and just fascinating. Come to think of it, I only vaguely remember him telling me about his possibly terminal health conditions. He was such a cool intellectual I guess it just distracted me from the reality of his impending terminal health. I shall miss him just tons. I wish I could send his family and those who knew him better than me more comfort than my measly penetration of this short comment.
Supernatural love to all that knew Edgar,
