I bought an Amiga 1000 in 1985, and shortly after that was blown away that B.B. King had one too, and he installed it in his tour bus to make arrangements using Deluxe Music (watch the second part). Somewhere out there is an earlier video of B.B. on his tour bus showing off the Amiga, and playing back music. I became a Commodore salesman and Amiga technician, and I flashed back to that moment I saw the video, and this one too. I’ll also never forget watching one of the first HD videos on an HDTV in the RCA booth at NAB in Chicago 1990, it was a concert of B.B. King, and it looked like he was right there in the room, sweat pouring down his face. I knew the future was all of this, and the Amiga was the start of it all, and B.B. will always have my love and respect for being who he was, one of the greatest men, and musicians (and Amiga user) to ever grace this planet. RIP B.B. |
How cool’s that. 🙂
